Where are you located?
Bongo’s Basement is an online retailer based in Sydney, Australia.
Do you sell to customers outside of Australia?
Bongo’s only servies customers within Australia and New Zealand. Although we will ship to an address in Australia for international customers.
Do you have a shop that I can visit and view your items?
No. Bongo’s Basement is an online retailer only and we don’t have a shopfront of showroom to view items.
Bongo’s operates from a warehouse and to help our customers make an informed decision about their purchases we have invested a great deal of time providing photographs and detailed descriptions of our items. If you need further information please email us using the “Contacts” form above.
I can’t log into my account or I have lost my password what can I do?
Firstly don’t panic. There may be a couple of reasons for this;
- If you can’t log into your account it may be because you have either entered your email address and/or your password incorrectly. Please try to enter your information again. If that doesn’t work click the “Forgot your password?” link on the “Login” page and enter the email address you used to register your account with. A temporary password will be forwarded and you should be able to access your account.
Note: If you get a message “Sorry but that email address was not found.” This means that the email address you entered is incorrect and not the one used for your account. Try a another email address that you may have used to register with. If this still does not work the simplest solution is to register again.
- If you know you have the right email address and or the right password you may be “blocked” from entering you account by your computer.
If you are logging in from a computer at work or a business or a Government office (and this is not the computer you registered with) you may be blocked from certain content such as secure sites or online shopping sites. This is something to take up with your IT service staff or you will need to login via another computer.
Note: We don’t block users from accessing the Bongo’s Basement site.
I can’t find any Australian cars on your site; do you sell them?
Unfortunately as an online retailer we are not able to source models of Australian vehicles due to distributors requiring shops or showrooms for wholesale purchases.
Can I pickup my order from your warehouse?
No. Sorry but we don’t have a facility for pickups; all orders are posted via Australia Post. Please refer to our “Shipping Page” page for further information.
All orders are shipped by Australia Post via “Receipted Delivery”. This service is the same as “Registered Post” but for commercial customers. Please refer to our “Shipping Page” for further information.
What is the cost for shipping one or multiple items?
Bongo’s Basement uses a flat rate charge for postage. Please refer to our “Shipping Page” for further information.
What payment method do you have available?
Bongo’s Basement accepts PayPal, Direct Deposits, Money Orders and Credit Cards. (Credit Card payments are processed through our PayPal merchant service.) Please refer to our “Payment & Privacy” page for further information.
I can’t find an item I’m looking for can you get it?
Bongo’s can source almost all current items available and we will do our best to locate hard to get items. Please contact us using the form above.
Do your models come with a Certificate of Authenticity or COA?
Virtually all our models do not come with a COA. While some manufacturers do include or promote COA’s they are merely a marketing initiative. Possibly 10-20years ago COA may have been a useful method of ensuring an honest transaction but with a colour printer in nearly every home or workplace and with today’s scanning technology they are meaningless.
To ensure you are getting what you are paying for, please read the description carefully and check the photos it’s the best way. Also please be assured we source nearly all our stock from the US from Wholesalers and Distributors with decades of experience in the industry. (Other items are sources from reputable local suppliers.)
How do I use my "Gift Certificate" or a "Coupon Number"?
If you have a Coupon Number for a "Gift Certificate Number" or a "Coupon Number" for a advertised or promotional item please enter it in hte field provided when completing the checkout page. (Image Below)

Can I email you or call you with my order and Credit Card details to place an order?
Unfortunately no; all orders need to be processed through our automated checkout or “Shopping Basket” system. Please see above.
Are your items new and do they come in a box?
Yes. All items are new and sold in the original manufacturer’s packaging.
Why are your prices cheaper on this site compared to your “eBay Store”?
We increase our prices for items sold through our eBay Store to cover the fees charged by eBay.
What is the difference between buying an item from your online store or buying the same item on eBay?
Price! By purchasing from our website you will save on the cost of item/s and save on the cost of shipping. We will take the same care and give the same speedy service if buy from our either our website or our eBay Store.
Can you discount your eBay Store price to the same price as your website as I prefer to buy from eBay?
No. Please see above.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?

1. Firstly you need to register as a customer. Click “Register” at the top right of screen to go to the “Customer Registration” page. (Image Below)

2. Enter in your details in the form provided. (Image Below)

Note: When entering your Name and Address it is important to use Uppercase text or Capital Letters and lowercase text as this helps to make your postage labels as clear as possible. We also strongly suggest you include a correct mobile phone number and double check the email address you have entered. If there is a problem with your order we can quickly contact you to resolve it.
3. Add your purchase/s to the “Shopping Basket”. (Image Below)

You can do this clicking the “Add to Basket” button at the bottom of the product’s page you wish to purchase. Note: If an item is out of stock or unavailable to purchase (item is Retired etc) the “Buy” button will not be available.
4. Once you have completed your purchase/s selection click “View Basket”. (Image Below)

Here you can:
- Check and change your order summary.
- Change the delivery address.
- Select your payment method.
- And enter any voucher numbers.
5. If the information in your order is correct click “Checkout”. (Image Above)

For Direct Deposits and Money Orders your will be presented with an order summary page that can be printed. This page includes details required to complete your payment such as payment delivery address for Money Orders or Bank Account details for Direct Deposits. For Credit Card and PayPal payments you will be forwarded to the PayPal secure payments site. Please enter the required information and your done.
